2024 US Open preview: Odds and picks for tournament golfers

Wyndham Clark was last year’s long shot. The title has shifted to Justin Rose who sports 100-1 stacked against him. Interestingly, there are several names that follow Rose on the list of the 2024 US Open Golf Tournament.

It is topped by Scottie Scheffler with 11-4 and Rory Mcllroy follows comfortably with 10-1. Xander is hanging at the third spot followed by Bryson with both having odds of 10-1 each. The list would rather be incomplete without the mention of Tiger Woods. His position on the chart is based on 125-1 which is equally shared with seven more golfers of the US Open. It includes the likes of Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler.

The lowest on the chart is Martin Kayme. It is only right to assume that the longest shot is with him for sporting 750-1 in his favor. What has emerged as the most common figure is 500-1. More than 25 golfers have those odds to their names. It is important to note that the figures are more or less the average of data fetched from the top golf betting sites. Some of them are 22 Bet, FairSpin, and CoinPlay.

Rory Mcllroy won the tournament in 2011. This comes to him as a second chance. He is a 26-time PGA Tour winner. What goes against his reputation is the fact that he has not topped any major league since 2014. He has been able to finish in the top 10 on multiple instances but if the past is anything to go by then lifting the title is more than important to get engraved in history books.

Tiger Woods has gone through health issues. They have denied him the rightful post since the US Open in 2010. He still holds 15 major wins and is second just behind Jack Nicklaus who has 18 wins to his name. Three short, but it could be longer if he does not recover from ongoing health issues. Nevertheless, Tiger Woods remains the most recognized face in the world of golf across the globe. He is still considered synonymous with the sport – evident from the fact that fans cross borders to watch him in action.

The US Open 2024 commences on June 13, 2024, and concludes on June 16, 2024, with a purse of $21,500,000 at Pinehurst No. 2 golf course.

That said, it is important to note that odds stated anywhere are for reference only and the actual outcome may be different. Golf betting, or any form of sports betting for that matter, should be taken within certain financial restrictions to prevent hefty economic dents in bank accounts.

The US Open 2024 is inclined towards the top names – Scottie, Rory, and Xander. Most of the attention will be on Tiger Woods and those who have longshots stacked against their names.
