The NCAA tournament commences soon, with the First Four battling out for a point. Howard and Wagner will contest for the win, followed by Virginia and Colorado State. Chances are favorable to Wagner and Virginia in their respective games.
For Wagner, the team is coming off three consecutive wins in the Northeast Conference Tournament. The series began with a 60-57 win over Sacred Heart in the basketball event. It was then followed by a 66-56 win over Central Connecticut and concluded with a 54-47 win over Merrimack.
Howard has won a few games as well, but the matchup between the two is more likely to favor Wagner. Howard last won a game against Del State in the MEAC Tournament by 70-67. A broader victory came against Norfolk State, 80-74, and against Morgan State, 78-65. Both of them feature in the First Four of the NCAA tournament, making it obvious to face for the win and break the streak.
Virginia will have a higher chance of winning the game. This comes despite the 65-73 loss against NC State. That was in the ACC Tournament following their win of 66-60 against Boston College and a 72-57 win over Georgia Tech. Colorado lacks the momentum to win the game, for they were on the losing side during the Mountain West Tournament.
A deficiency of 74-61 against New Mexico has taken a toll on them. Not that there is no road to making a comeback, but there is certainly less chance for them to stand their ground after every possible ingredient of their strategy crumbled the last time they were on the basketball court.
Montana State versus Grambling St. and Boise State versus Colorado will follow in the NCAA tournament’s First Four. Their conclusion will trigger the beginning of the first round, with MS State and MI State kickstarting the event.
Grambling is better positioned to win the game, and so is Boise State. Other basketball games to look forward to in the NCAA Tournament are between Creighton and Akron, Arizona and Long Beach St., and Illinois and Morehead St.
Some of the interesting basketball games that were recently concluded are UAB versus Temple and Illinois versus Wisconsin that showed major fluctuations on top basketball betting sites.
