Anthony Beauvillier is to start over with Vancouver Canucks
New York Islanders have lost 3 out of five previous Hockey matches, but that is of little concern to them. The team has traded Anthony Beauvillier to Vancouver Canucks. Anthony is reportedly excited about the trade since he gets to start everything from scratch. That could have been said in a literal sense, as the majority of the backend team has been recently hired by the management.
Rick Tocchet is the coach who is charged with leading the team after being hired on January 22, 2023, along with the assistant coach Adam Foote. Defensive strategies will be pitched by Sergei Gonchar. General Manager, Patrik Allvin, was hired just four days after the coaching staff.
I feel like it can start a new page for everyone, said Anthony, who believes that this is a chance for everyone to start from scratch. Calling it perfect timing, Anthony has said that it is going to be exciting to play for the new coaching staff.
What hurts him a bit is the departure from one of the closest friends in the sport he has – Mathew Barzel. Anthony said that it is a rather emotional moment to part ways from Mathew, but one must not beat themselves up since there is something exciting coming up in the future.
The Vancouver Canucks are not really doing well, having lost 3 out of 5 previous games. As per the latest gaming news, the team is in 6th position in the Pacific Division and 14 points behind the Colorado Avalanche for the second wild card from the Western Conference. Allvin has identified the need to improve already, along with the aim to get younger at a time when they are sitting at the bottom of the standing.
With the addition of a new player, there are a few from the side who can help part ways soon to become unrestricted free agents. This includes the goalie Collin Delia with Luke Schenn, who poses a challenge since the management is yet to take a call on him. Kyle Burroughs is on his way to becoming an unrestricted free agent as well.
Allvin has said that he has a lot of respect for Luke, especially for everything that he brings to the table as a winning habit.
Horvat’s replacement has not been decided yet. A minor change could see a lot happening at hockey sportsbooks. Two players are being considered at the moment – Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes. Both players have displayed their leadership skills at different points of the game, making them close contenders for the spot. A couple of days could see the management bring a scroll in front of the media to make one of the most anticipated announcements.
The Canucks won their last match against the Blue Jackets by 5-2. Their next fixture is scheduled with Devils. The Blackhawks lost to the Canucks 5-2 before the Blue Jackets experienced the fall.
