Daniel Negreanu Wins Poker Masters $10,000 NLH
Daniel Negreanu, the well-known name poker professional, finally broke the 8-years long slump. The veteran won the $10K No-Limit Hold’Em Poker Masters Event this Sunday for 178,200 dollars.
Since June, the player now has had two quick wins, and Daniel might have to thank Doug Polk for the success. Polk made a YouTube video on June 11th, explaining how long it has been since Daniel won any tournament. A month goes by, and Daniel shuts every critic by winning the $50K buy-in PokerGO Cup tournament.
The player scored 700,000 dollars for the win, eventually winning the overall series champion title. A couple of months passed, and Kid Poker scored another win at Las Vegas’ PokerGO Studio. The GGPoker ambassador beat 66 competitors for the maiden Poker Masters tournament.
Daniel scored 179 points during the second high roller series cash, taking his overall score to 281. It put the player on top of the leaderboard in the Purple Jacket race. However, with seven more events remaining, it is still too early to finalize anything.
While Polk’s video might not have any idea on Daniel’s win, it is still a weird coincidence. Here are the final table results for the Poker Masters event:
Nick Petrangelo gave a commendable performance at the event, but Daniel managed to outplay his opponent. Nick scored 133,000 dollars for the second spot, while Daniel scored 178,200 dollars. The eighth event for the Poker Masters is still accepting registrations, with 30 players already entering the event.
Seeing how intense the recent events had been, the poker community keenly follows the coming ones.
