2023 All England Badminton Championships is underway, and it has started with an upset. The first round witnessed the Ee Yi and Yew Sin duo defeating the 2020 Olympic Gold medalists Lee Yang and Wang Chi Lin. The Malaysians had to endure a 57-minute-long game to beat the Taiwanese pair. The duo garnered a score of 12-21, 21,16, and 21-18 to make a successful comeback.
In a similar fashion, the Malaysian mixed duo Lai Pei Jing and Tan Kian Meng also won their first match. The duo defeated the Indonesians, Pitha Haningtyas and Rinov Rinaldy, with a score of 21-19 and 21-18.
