FIFA U-17 Women’s tournament enlightens & educates volunteers
The 20-day-long event concluded on October 30, 2022, with Spain emerging as the champion. Volunteers who worked thoroughly during the tournament and before and after it, however, came out shining in front of everyone. A lot goes on in making an international tournament a success. Volunteers play a huge role in providing the best experience to players and visitors. Over 650 candidates volunteered for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022. However, the volunteers were chosen out of 7,000 applicants. Their backgrounds are not similar but diverse in terms of age and profession. Even though the final event went off with the final whistle at DY Patil Stadium, volunteers stayed back, ensuring that the post-match ceremony happened with utmost dedication.
International events carry a sense of standard that is t maintained. The sheer hard work of those volunteers made everything shine in front of the world. The Local Organizing Committee – LOC trained volunteers from around the world. However, the deliverables are discussed under their guidance with support from FIFA Volunteer Management Department.
Solomon Ogba, a 23-year-old nursing student, was one of the volunteers at the event. He shared his experience by saying that he would never miss the opportunity to work with FIFA. Solomon, who originally belongs to Nigeria, expressed his love for the game and said he was 100% sure he wanted to work in football. Swati Gada, a 50-year housewife, agrees with Solomon Ogba, saying that she would have even gone to Bhubaneshwar if the authorities had asked her to. She is a cricket fanatic driven by the objective of imparting training to young girls in multiple sports.
As per the betting news, Swati Gada said it was great when asked how the overall experience was. She added that a lot happens behind the scenes, which she was unaware of. Many more volunteers shared their experience by highlighting that it was a great opportunity to develop skills for cooperation and communication. Younger volunteers did not shy away from grabbing the opportunity and matching the zeal of their older counterparts.
Volunteers at FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 were a part of FIFA’s volunteer program. It enables interested candidates to participate in the tournament and learn by closely collaborating with FIFA officials. The tournament concluded on October 30, 2022. It was a close match that favoured Spain, with Ana Maria Guzman Zapata scoring a single goal. The tournament has concluded, but betting on FIFA will go on as FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is only a few days away.
