France vs. Poland FIFA World Cup 2022: FRA won 3-1
In the Al Thumama Stadium, the France supporters cheered as the star player Mbappe could feel the pressure rising. Giroud from the France team brought the first goal when the knockout match between France and Poland at FIFA World Cup, 2022, Qatar was close to half time.
58 minutes down the game, the win probability was in favor of the France team with 84%. Poland had 43% possession, while France was leading with 57% after halftime, which increased for France as the match approached full-time.
The passing accuracy of both teams was more than 80%. Previously, France and Poland went head-to-head on 10th July 1982 FIFA World Cup, when Poland won with a score of 3-2. But in 2022, the 4th World ranked France had more feathers on its hat and perhaps has highest odds at top FIFA betting sites.
The hope of Poland and its fans was short-lived as Mbappe, wearing the 10-number jersey, scored a goal in the 74 minutes. He raised his hands to encourage the crowd to cheer more for his goal. Szczęsny of Poland gave his all to fetch more saves in his bucket than the goalkeeper of France, Lloris. However, the strategic play of France was impossible to be subsumed.
Approaching the full-time of the match, France attempted way more shots than Poland. Mbappe made a terrific shot in the additional minutes that gave France its third goal. The France fans jolted up in the air as Mbappe did his signature step. France’s win of three goals was inevitable as Poland could only secure a single goal in a penalty shot at the end of the game.
