German sports and activewear brand, PUMA, has recently revealed its new “Gamer Socks.” As per the sports brand, the new Active Gaming Footwear is specifically designed to add comfort, support, and grip so the gamers can be as flexible as possible.
As of now, the potential benefits of the socks are uncalled for or how it will improve one’s gaming abilities. However, it is speculated that the activewear will assist players while playing AR and VR titles. Notably, socks are more comfortable to wear than sneakers. Several gamers prefer not to wear sneakers while playing AR or VR games.
PUMA noted in its official website that the socks had engineered knitted mesh on the top for comfort and breathability. The Gamer Socks has a split bottom for sole for flexibility and tensor processing unit (TPU) skin for additional support.
Earlier, K-Swiss launched a similar convertible “MIBR ONE-TAP” shoe, which was also aimed at improving eSports performance. On top of that, it is not PUMA’s first attempt in the endeavor of launching Active Gaming Wear. The footwear will be available online to be bought in the UK and Australia for 80 EUR or 105 USD approximately.
