Greentube to Allow Payments in CashBet’s CBC Cryptocurrency on All Games
Novomatic subsidiary Greentube has extended its partnership with cryptocurrency enabled gaming site CashBet Coin. Under the terms of the agreement, Greentube will allow payments in CashBets’s cryptocurrency CBC on its entire portfolio of over 400 online slots, casino, card games, and bingo content.
Greentube had already integrated CBC and the blockchain technology on which it is based, with its flagship platform GameTwist, arguably the world’s largest gaming community.
Thus, Greentubes customers can now make payments in CBC without having to resort to their credit cards, which will cut their cost of transactions. CashBet benefits from Greentube’s large portfolio of games, which will introduce CBC to thousands of new users across Europe.
i-Gaming companies are looking to integrate cryptocurrency with their games as it has several benefits over fiat currency. Cryptocurrency allows users to pay for several games at once. The amount paid is stored in the user’s account and is deducted as he continues playing different games. Some i-Gaming companies are providing in-game purchases with cryptocurrency. Such purchases are possible because cryptocurrency allows microtransactions, which would be too costly with credit cards.
Greentube CCO Ronald van den Brink explained that Greentube had adopted a strategy of leveraging blockchain-based technology to improve the gaming experience. He further said,
