Hard Rock Bet sports betting app positioned live
The Hard Rock Bet sports betting application is now live in Florida. The application has already started accepting bets and will be followed by the introduction of retail sports betting.
The Seminole Tribe stated that the Hard Rock Bet app would be fully launched on December 7, 2023, after the limited release period expired. This was addressed by Hard Rock Bet President Matt Primeaux, who stated via Twitter that the application was released two days ahead of schedule.
The launch occurred before the projected introduction of Seminole’s first three retail online sportsbooks, located in three different casinos throughout the state. Three additional properties are scheduled to launch their retail sportsbook between December 8th and 11th, 2023.
The Tribe has mentioned the fact that, as per the Gaming Compact it had agreed to with the State of Florida in 2021, it will introduce craps and roulette in all six outfits gaming spaces in Florida.
In October, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to stop a federal appeals court ruling that enabled the Seminole Tribe to offer online sports wagering items and services in Florida.
The court refused a petition filed by the lawyers standing for two casinos in Florida to keep the appeal court’s decision on hold as they would approach the Supreme Court for a review. This received the endorsement of the Biden administration for taking the case forward. The resultant factor was that the Supreme Court consented to the Seminole Tribe to introduce sports wagering in Florida.
