International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that it has once more been granted the Global Gambling Guidance Group’s responsible gaming G4 certification. This pertains to the Global Gaming and PlayDigital initiatives of the organization.
Wendy Montgomery, senior vice president of marketing, communications, and sustainability at IGT, asserts that the organization’s obtaining the G4 certification demonstrates its dedication to upholding the established protocols for responsible gaming. She further stated that IGT was the first provider in its industry to be granted the G4 certification and the first in the United States to be accredited in the field of sports betting.
In the words of the G4 Board of Directors Chairman, Pieter Remmers, IGT has managed to continuously comply with the established rules related to responsible gaming. The company deserved the certification yet again due to its Global Gaming and PlayDigital programs.
In an effort to reduce the repercussions of problem wagering, G4 advocates for an international certification and accreditation system. Regarding IGT, G4 noted that the organization had established a standard for protecting players’ interests through the provision of player protection tools and responsible gaming expertise. IGT first obtained the G4 responsible gaming certification in 2022, then the digital solutions certification in 2019, and the gaming industry certification in 2017.
