IGT, which stands for International Gaming Technology, has achieved a significant amount of success with its Wheel of Fortune in the past. As a matter of fact, it continues to ride high on that success. IGT has recently announced the expansion of its brand into new categories. In other words, the Wheel of Fortune experience will now be available in a variety of categories, including video poker, electronic table games (EGT), and video lottery terminals (VLT). This comes ahead of G2E, wherein IGT will set up a Wheel of Fortune zone to showcase new introductions.
The Global Gaming Expo, or G2E, will take place in Las Vegas from October 7, 2024, to October 10, 2024. Nick Khin, the President of IGT for Global Gaming, stated that the goal of expanding the brand is to provide more opportunities for customers to engage with the content, as well as to increase their reach within the gaming community. Nick confirmed that the Wheel of Fortune-branded one will be in the center of their respective floor at the industry-leading iGaming event G2E 2024.
The introduction of Wheel of Fortune dates back to 1996. Since then, it has reportedly paid out jackpots worth $3.6 billion and minted over 1,200 millionaires. The announcement about showcasing new categories at G2E 2024 builds on top of the licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television, giving them the right to continue producing Wheel of Fortune games till 2034.
G2E will introduce new categories as a productive platform to showcase innovation to relevant participants. Other iGaming events to look out for are iGaming NEXT, IGI Expo, and European Gaming Congress.
Four new categories that will be featured by IGT are Wheel of Fortune Video Poker, Wheel of Fortune for VLT, Wheel of Fortune Slots, and Wheel of Fortune on IGT’s GameAce™ ETG Solution.
Wheel of Fortune Video Poker brings the puzzle-solving feature and the Wheel Bonus. It can reward players with credits worth 30k, 50k, and 100k points for a dealt royal flush. It can be found on the CrystalCurve™ and PeakSlant™49 cabinets. IGT is confident that the combination of content and entertainment will fetch favorable results.
Wheel of Fortune for VLT is one of the most anticipated titles, given that IGT has leveraged its extensive experience working in the segment. It will make its first appearance on Sierra 27 with a proven math ad mechanism that has worked for the slot franchise. With renewed VLT, IGT is building on its extensive footprint across North America.
Wheel of Fortune on IGT’s GameAce™ ETG Solution is coming as a standalone game that can be enjoyed by players while playing other RNG ETG or live games.
