International golf event reaches Hong Kong after 3 years
While cricket and football popularly suffered a setback amid the Covid-19 pandemic due to restrictions imposed by governments around the world, golf silently took a back seat, only to bounce back in style after three years.
Hong Kong has re-opened its doors for an international golf tournament to welcome all the champions and fans from March 23, 2023, to March 26, 2023. Hong Kong Golf Club will be hosting the $1 million World City Championship after three years. The last tournament was hosted in a Southern Chinese city in January 2020.
The government then imposed strict restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Drastic measures forced the sport to stay put at its native location. Those regulations have been brought down, relaxing to the extent that the city can host an international golf tournament.
Cho Minn Thant, the Commissioner & CE of the tour, has expressed excitement on everyone’s behalf while welcoming the sport back to Hong Kong. Calling Hong Kong Golf Club one of the historic establishments in the sport, Choo Minn Thant has said that the location is iconic and a perennial favorite among Asian Tour members.
A similar tone will be heard at the Hong Kong Golf Club in the next month. A little over a month remains for the tournament to kickstart. Preparations are underway with champions. Furthermore, all the gold betting enthusiasts are keeping a close eye on all the golf betting sites to keep all the needed updates about the 4-day long event.
Strict rules are no longer applicable in Hong Kong for coronavirus, making way for golf to once again light up the city with an international tournament. Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling will experience the excitement with a warm welcome after three years. Fans, needless to say, can gather their group members for some golf-related action.
