IOC announces Olympic eSports Series 2023 finals in Singapore
International Federations and the International Olympic Committee have announced to collaborate and bring together the excitement of eSports globally through the Olympic eSports Series 2023. Several game publishers have also come forward to partner with the Federations and Committee.
Both pros and amateurs will have a chance to play in the qualification rounds. They will move on to the main stages and compete for the final title if they do well. Singapore will host the ultimate event, so fans can watch the action live at the venue. It will be simultaneously streamed at Olympic.com and other social channels across the globe.
The global virtual and simulated sports tournament is not restricted to any specific location. Thereby enabling literally everyone to register and participate in Olympic eSports Series 2023. David Lappartient, the IOC eSports Liaison Group Chair, has spoken on the development, saying that the movement aims to bring people together for peaceful competitions with the ambition of creating more spaces where players and fans can play against each other.
