The final day of Group B, C, and D matches in the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup was pure edge-of-your-seat madness. It had everything—last-minute heroics, rain drama, and dreams dashed. Ireland stole the spotlight, Scotland slid through, and England dazzled their way to the Super Six. Nine teams punched their tickets to the Super Six, and the stage is now set for the ultimate showdown.

Ireland’s Upset Win Over Pakistan Secures Super Six Spot

Ireland shocked everyone with a stunning win over Pakistan in a rain-affected match reduced to just nine overs per side.  

Ireland batted first and set a modest target of 73 runs. Alice Walsh’s fiery 31 off 19 balls, including five boundaries, was the highlight of their innings. Despite losing wickets early, Ireland managed to reach 69 for 5 in their allotted overs, thanks to Walsh’s quickfire knock.

Ireland’s Alice Walsh stole the spotlight.  While the rest struggled to find their rhythm, Walsh calmly showed them how it’s done, under pressure and all.

Ireland’s bowlers and fielders were the unsung heroes of their stunning win over Pakistan.

Ellie McGee brought the heat with two wickets. But it wasn’t just the bowlers; Ireland’s fielding was absolutely top-notch. The Irish side produced a series of crucial run-outs. The highlight was the run-out of Pakistan’s captain, Komal Khan, which was a massive blow to their chase. 

Quick and sharp, Ireland’s fielding put the brakes on Pakistan’s chase. With 59 runs, Pakistan missed the mark by 13. 

The win was a huge blow to Pakistan, knocking them out of the competition. Their hopes of advancing were dashed, and they were sent packing early.

On the flip side, this victory propelled Ireland into the Super Six stage, securing their place in the next round.

The Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is officially on fire, with eight teams—Australia, Scotland, Bangladesh, England, USA, South Africa, Nigeria, and New Zealand—securing their spots in the Super Six. The drama is just getting started!

England showed their power by knocking out the USA, thanks to Davina Perrin’s blazing 74 off 45 balls. England is ready for anything in the Super Six. 

New Zealand came on strong, steamrolling Samoa with a team effort, where Rishika Jaswal and Tash Wakelin made short work of the batters like a pro.

South Africa showed their class by easily dispatching Nigeria, with Seshnie Naidu’s devastating two-wicket over leaving Nigeria in shambles. 

Bangladesh marched into the Super Six, thanks to Anisa Akter Soba’s epic 4-for-25 that left Scotland’s chase in tatters.

Meanwhile, Australia smashed Nepal’s hopes, securing their spot with swagger.
