El Español, the online newspaper alleged that Munuera had possible business ties with officials in the Spanish league, especially through his organization, Talentus Sports Speakers. The report mentioned that Jose will not be referee-ing for the Federation until the analysis of the report is concluded.
In response to the media, Munuera said that Talentus Sports Speakers “has never invoiced any quantity from any sporting institution, whether it be a club, a federation or a company linked to sports”.
He also mentioned that legal actions will be taken against any media outlet that “intentionally or due to negligence spread false or incorrect information” about the profession or about him.
Javier Tebas, the President at La Liga supported the Federation’s decision and also mentioned that the league does not have any business dealings with Munuera or his company. He also talks to the reporters about the league receiving services from a different organization owned by the former league employee who happens to participate in Talentus Sports Speakers.
While interviewing with Cope, the popular Spanish radio, Munuera insisted demonstrating to the Federation that no sports body has ever paid him and that he has been part of the industry for many years before he created his organization last year.
