Southwest Indiana witnessed the debut of legal and regulated sports betting here on Thursday with scores of people showing their interest to participate.
The Tropicana Evansville’s general manager John Chaszar divulged that the venue of the local casino’s sports betting would be 421 lounge and it will be called “The Sports Book.”
Several options for sumptuous food will be available at the 421 lounge apart from many televisions screen, Chaszar said. The area will be offering National Football League’s Sunday ticket television package.
William Hill Sports Book will remain open for business at Tropicana Evansville. It will accept wagers on college, UFC fighting, baseball, pro football, etc.
The former Las Vegas resident Larry Bryant could not believe his ears when he heard about the debut of legal sports betting. He said St. Louis has plenty of casinos. He said it would be amazing fun in Evansville.
Another resident Joshua Blair arrived from Kentucky to check Tropicana’s latest offering. He was seen wearing his New Yankees jersey. He said it would be exciting as he has never seen one before.

Location:
It will be located in the area which was popular by the known of 421 clubs earlier. You will find a full bar there with stunning bar seating, lounge seating. The bar will be equipped with huge board offering sports schedules and lines. You will also find many television screens carrying sports.
When will you be allowed to bet?
To enjoy legal sports betting to the hilt, you must be aware of the timings when you can bet. The betting window will open at 10 am to midnight Monday till Friday and 8 in the morning to midnight Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, the sports Book’s bar will remain open every day from 8 in the morning to 2:30 am. You can also find kiosks in the Sports Book where wager will be placed.

Scope of live entertainment
Earlier, Tropicana Evansville’s 421 Club organized live music frequently. However, as Sports Book is open now, the 421 names have gone. The casino is likely to explore other sports on its property for boosting entertainment. The Sports Book is expected to host a band performance on the eve of New Year. No other live entertainment has been scheduled, for now, said John Chaszar, general manager.
Tropicana Evansville inaugurated the land-based casino on Riverside Drive in the year 2017. It also made a replacement of the riverboat that was in use since 1995.
Last year El Dorado Resorts emerged as the owner of Tropicana Evansville.
The General Assembly passed legislation this year to clear the way for sport betting at Tropicana Evansville, Indiana gaming properties, and French Lick Resort.
