Martin Truex Jr becomes the winner of the race at the L.A. Coliseum
The last winning streak in favor of Martin Truex Junior happened to have taken place in the year 2021. However, in the 2023 Cup Series season, he clearly won the race held at the L.A. Coliseum. Incidentally, Martin happens to have been a previous NASCAR Cup Series winner. Between the period of 2015 and 2021, it was Martin Junior who happened to have been the ultimate winner in a total of 29 races altogether. Following the winning streak over so many seasons, the year 2022 did not seem to be so very much in his favor at all. He was nowhere in sight on any victory lap.
In the 2023 Busch Light Clash held at the L.A. Coliseum, the situation somehow seemed to have turned back in his favor. With 25 laps left to reach the finishing line, it happened to have been Truex Junior who found himself ahead of Ryan Preece, whom he managed successfully to overtake and finally come onto the absolute forefront. This, incidentally, happens to be his first win in the Clash. Simultaneously, it also happens to be a win for him in any which way, since the month of September 2021, in terms of his Cup win at Richmond.
According to what Truex disclosed to Fox News, the year 2022 was indeed a disappointing year for him and the entire team members. However, he happened to have credited his team for winning this year. He considered and appreciated the fact that all of the odds went in their complete favor, which ultimately broke the jinx of the previous year and, this time on, led them straight to victory.
Truex was actually able to clock his fastest and come out tops in the heat race that took place before the final one. In this race, too, however, he kept himself from driving past the others and kept in the background up until the track really opened out ahead of him, with the dropping out of a number of cars. When he ultimately saw his opportunity, he leaped forward for the winner’s track.
At the start, it happened to have been Wallace who held onto the leading position. Following into the second half, witnessed Ryan Preece going right ahead of all of the others for over 43 laps before Truex took the lead place ultimately. The resultant factor saw Preece remain behind in the seventh position. It also happened to have been Aric Almirola and Denny Hamlin who gave Truex a run for his money and kept the adrenaline flow really high at some of the top Nascar betting sites.
In the end, however, it happened to be Martin Truex Junior who took the lead and held on till the finishing line. His jinx for the year 2022 had broken, with him turning victorious after a long wait.
