Mohegan Digital announces launching an online casino in Pennsylvania
Mohegan Digital is expanding its iGaming offering to the fourth North American jurisdiction. The company has announced the launch of Mohegan Digital in the Keystone State, with over 500 games in the line-up. What makes this interesting is the plan to increase the number of titles to more than 700 by this summer.
Play.MoheganPAcasino.com has announced multiple categories. This includes table games, slots, and live dealer titles, among others. Needless to say, slot titles are gaining more traction in Pennsylvania than anyone considering even exploring the iGaming platform. Some of the titles available are Cash Machine, BlackJack Diamond Series, and 88 Fortunes.
Rich Roberts, the president at Mohegan Digital, has called this an exciting moment, later implying that the launch is grounded on the success that they have registered in Connecticut and New Jersey, along with Ontario, Canada. That said, Mohegan Digital is now present in four North American jurisdictions: New Jersey, Connecticut, Ontario, and Pennsylvania.
It is safe to assume that this represents an increase in interest in the iGaming segment in select US regions. The landscape is only expected to go uphill in the times to come. Some of the best online casinos in the USA are simultaneously attempting to capture the maximum market share. This includes the likes of BC.Game, BetUS, and Black Lotus.
Guy Greene, the Vice President of Marketing at Mohegan Digital, said that their aim is to create an environment that is fun and user-friendly, along with being reliable and providing excellent guest service. Guy also acknowledged that the iGaming industry is one of the fastest growing industries, poised to receive advantages as Mohegan commits to offering an unmatched online gaming experience.
Mohegan Digital’s launch in Pennsylvania comes after appointing Joseph Hasson as interim basis. He hails from Mohegan Casino at Virgins Hotels as the General Manager. Joseph replaces Jody Madigan, who worked with the company for two and a half years.
Moving forward, Mohegan has plans to rebrand Unibet, its sportsbook in Pennsylvania. Once rebranded, it will be known as Mohegan Pennsylvania Sportsbook. The branding is expected to be installed at all off-track wagering locations across Allentown and Lehigh Valley. This comes in the wake of Kindred announcing its exit from the market in North America.
A retail casino in Arkansas recently submitted an application to authorize iGaming, expected to boost the iGaming segment. Saracen Casino Resort is eyeing expanding its offering once the application is approved by the Arkansas Racing Commission. The request was submitted in March of this year, and approval could come anytime this year.
Mohegan Digital entering Pennsylvania offers multiple benefits: it expands its iGaming segment, the state sees a potential rise in tax revenues, and residents get another option to engage with.
