Morocco and Croatia gave tough competition to each other at the FIFA world cup 2022, and as a consequence, the match has been a draw. This game was held at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.
At the beginning of the match, all eyes were on Croatia as they were the last edition’s runners-up and had a glorious history, making this match thrilling among Croatian fans.
The match proceeded with a slow start from both teams and till the first half, the scoreboard showed 0-0.
At the beginning of the second half, Morocco made a strong start and the play continued with Livakovic making a point-blank save to keep out a Noussair Mazraoui header before Croatia went close from a corner immediately. In the 37th minute, Selim Amallah from the Morocco team won a free kick in the defensive half, however, it didn’t help the team score a goal.
Exactly at 45th min, Josip Juranovic (Croatia) wins a free kick on the right wing. It was disheartening to see Mazraoui from Morocco’s team suffer an injury, and he was immediately replaced by the substitute player Attiyat Allah. But further changes were made by placing Boufal with the highly-rated Ezzalzouli keeping the target high for the win.
In the 64th min – Achraf Hakimi(M) fizzed a 30-yard free-kick straight at the goalkeeper Dominik Livakovicas Morocco threatened again. For the remaining 15 minutes of the match, Croatia was still struggling to carve out opportunities to make a lead. During the 78th min, Sofyan Amrabat was shown a yellow card for a bad foul.
The 90 min match came to an end declaring the draw, having 0-0 on the scoreboard. In these four days, FIFA World Cup 2022 has witnessed the third scoreless draw of the season.
