Rhode Island seventh in line for providing online casino games
Rhode Island is presently ranked seventh in the queue to offer live dealer table games and interactive slot machines for online casinos.
Bally’s, which currently holds a monopoly on casino wagering in the state, ventures into the iGaming industry. The online Bally’s Casino will initially offer 170 slot titles in addition to blackjack and roulette with live dealers. A chat tool will enable players to communicate with the vendors remotely. Taxation will amount to 62%, of which 15% will be deducted from table winnings.
To participate, players must live in Rhode Island and be at least 21 years old. Bally’s online casino application was introduced following a test trial. Two physical casinos operated by the company are Bally’s Twin River Lincoln and Bally’s Tiverton.
According to Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi, this exemplifies the ideal collaboration between private entities and the legislature in pursuit of increased revenue for the benefit of the state.
According to state fiscal projections, Rhode Island is anticipated to receive $24 million in new tax revenue in 2024.
As stated by Senate President Dominick Ruggerio, participants in the iGaming industry will be able to do so from virtually any location, which will be extraordinarily advantageous for them. He is confident that iGaming, particularly through online casino sites, will contribute to job creation.
Bally’s has extended a commitment to develop a 4,000-square-foot live dealer table game facility in Lincoln. There will be 75 opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment. A collaboration has been established with Stakelogic to execute its strategic initiatives.
