Rivers Casino and Resort Schenectady brought relief to many as they declared to stay open for their regular business between 6 in the morning and 11 at night daily, w.e.f 14 February 2021. The new development comes ahead of Governor Cuomo’s proposal of allowing the bars and hotels to operate with extended timings, a move which was supported by the New York State Gaming Commission as the latter approved the proposal.
However, the news report states that following the strict COVID norms, such as maintaining social distance, wearing face-masks, and getting their temperature checked, is mandatory for visitors before entering the premises. Also, both Rivers Casino and Resort Schenectady assured their guests that COVID norms would be strictly followed from their side too; frequent sanitization of the area and extensive cleaning drives would be carried out at regular intervals on the premises.
Rivers Casino has taken the norms a step further by setting a bar on floor capacity by letting only 25% of occupants be present at a time, stated the blog of Rivers Casino. The blog has also mentioned a list of things that visitors need to strictly adhere to.
According to the media reports, while few spaces will not be functional, most options will stay open for guests to explore and enjoy. For instance, Dukes bar is available to guests from Monday to Thursday between 4 in the evening and 10 at night and from Friday to Sunday from 11 in the morning to 10 at night.
