Sabalenka enters the Australian Open finals after slipping victory over Linette
Aryna Sabalenka entered the final round of the Australian Open after beating Magda Linette in a close match. The final tally stood as 7-6 and 6-2. Sabalanke struck two double faults against a single by her opponent.
This win brings the 10th consecutive victory for Sabalenka in 2023. Another factor that makes this win sweet for her is the fact that she has finally broken past the semi-final. Her previous three Glad Slams denied her entry to the concluding event; however, this event comes as a turning point.
Her pulls and precision gave her the lead she wanted, taking full control from Linette, who now goes back through an elimination.

Azarenka got left behind with 6 double faults to her name. Rybakina was able to restrict the same at 3 and secured 5/11 breakpoints. Azarenka found that energy hard to match even though she fought with all her breath. Landing 62 points in 9 winning games did ease her statistics, but the mission to reach the peak has now been left for another event.
Rod Laver Arena will host the final match between Sabalenka and Rybakina.
