UFC 303: Pereira vs Prochazka 2 – Epic predictions and matchups

UFC 303 promises to be one of the most exciting and intriguing PPV events of the 2024 season. The event, originally slated to feature Conor McGregor against Michael Chandler, faced potential disaster when they decided to scrap the main bout. However, Dana White and the UFC have managed to salvage the event with a new main event that promises to deliver excitement: Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka 2.

Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will compete in the next light heavyweight title bout.  The previous match also sparked controversy, as Pereira’s victory was based on an early stoppage. Although it is hard to deny that Pereira has the power to deliver knock-down punches in the match. Since then, he has consolidated his position within the division by outpointing Jamahal Hill, who was the champion at the time, in April. For those looking to make bets, the best UFC betting sites will undoubtedly be buzzing with action leading up to this highly anticipated rematch.

Prochazka, on the other hand, enters this rematch after defeating Aleksandar Rakic. Still, he did not have an easy fight, as Rakic made the bout a close-range battle. Prochazka’s susceptibility to low kicks, which Pereira capitalized on in their first fight, is still a problem. Pereira is most likely to focus on this vulnerability again, preparing for the left hook. Prochazka is a significantly superior grappler, yet he couldn’t keep Pereira on the mat during their first combat. Unless Prochazka can turn the fight into a grappling match, he is unlikely to win. In this situation, Pereira is anticipated to win via knockout in the second round.

Another intriguing co-headliner is the featherweight bout between Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes. Ortega, a professional fighter, is anticipated to win given his extensive experience and fighting style. He most recently defeated Chan Sung Jung and demonstrated effective striking and grappling. Lopes, despite being a wild card, has the experience of fighting with the best of the best fighters. Even with that in mind, Ortega’s durability and striking skills should enable him to secure the win via decision.

In a last-minute light heavyweight contest, Anthony Smith will fight against Roman Dolidze. At first, Smith was scheduled to box against Carlos Ulberg, but later he was injured and replaced by Dolidze. Dolidze is coming from 185 pounds and facing the tough Smith in his first fight at a higher weight class, and on short notice at that. Given Smith’s recent victory over Vitor Petrino, it is expected that Smith will win by submission.

Mayra Bueno Silva will fight Macy Chiasson in the bantamweight division. Having lost her last fight in a championship match, Silva faces Chiasson, who has a longer reach than her. Despite this, experts predict Silva’s grappling skills will lead her to submission and victory.

Another exciting contest is the welterweight division fight between Ian Garry and Michael ‘Venom’ Page. Garry is known for his striking skills and is expected to have the upper hand against Page, who will be making minimal output because he has yet to prove himself against the elite UFC fighters. Garry is expected to emerge victorious in the decision.

The Prelims are also anticipated to be thrilling, featuring Joe Pyfer’s fight against Marc-Andre Barriault and Charles Jourdain’s confrontation with Jean Silva. These fights make the already-stacked card even more exciting and provide UFC 303 viewers with great entertainment and many exciting moments that will make any MMA fan pay attention to this event with several explosive fights.
