Roobet, a cryptocurrency casino, has announced the dates for the Roobet Cup in association with Relog Media. The tournament is tentatively scheduled to start on June 22, 2022, and end on June 30, 2022.
A total of 16 teams are expected to participate in the CS-GO Roobet Cup out of seven already invited to the group stage. The teams that have been invited include Gambit, FaZe, and Imperial, among four others.
All the teams will battle for a prize pool of $250,000, with the winner getting $150,000. Other teams that the organizers are trying to get on board include the likes of Astralis, Heroic, and NIP.
The tournament’s group stage will begin with 16 teams competing for a spot in the playoffs. They will be divided into four groups comprising four teams each.
Teams that finish at the top two positions of their respective group will advance to the next stage, the playoffs.
The playoffs will have eight teams who will compete as per the rule of a single-elimination format. All the matches will follow the BO3 concept of the Group Stage. Teams to appear in the tournament would be from Europe and other parts of South America.
