Women’s football takes a new start in Sierra Leonean

General Julius Maada Bio, the President of the Republic of Sierra Leonean, was in attendance to view the match along with his wife, Fatima Jabbie Bio.

The Women’s Premier League in Sierra Leonean is being organized with financial aid received from FIFA under its Forward Program. Asmaa James has expressed her hopes for seeing Sierra Leonean play a broader role in the women’s football scene. Sierra Leonean is ranking up in the list of the best football teams. The country recently debuted in the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking. The Women’s Premier League is likely to have more effect on its rise in the ranking with more aid for development expected to land, further leading to the development of Sierra Queens – the national team of Sierra Leonean.
