WSOP Pompano Beach main event is nearing with a doubled guarantee
The World Series of Poker is making giant strides, announcing its return to the famous Pompano Beach venue. Previously called the Isle of Capri, Harrah’s Pompano Beach will boast 16 ring events.
As per online poker news, the month-long series has already announced five guaranteed events. The Main Event worth 1,000,000 dollars will also follow up the Event shortly. The series started with Daniel Pearlman winning the 400 dollars No-Limit Hold’em Event. Daniel scored 22,537 dollars to win the third WSOP ring at Event #1.
Event #2 was also a massive hit with a guarantee of 250,000 dollars. With a prize pool of 638,600 dollars, the Event ended with Gary Gelman winning 100,126 dollars.
As expected, Event #3 also garnered massive success, with Emily Xie becoming the first ring winner in this series. Emily won the 400 dollars No-Limit Hold’em Event to take home 18,873 dollars.
For Event #4, it was Neil Blumenfield who stepped up and won 24,514 dollars. The veteran won the first WSOP ring at the 400 dollars Seniors No-Limit Hold’em event.
Finally, Joel Deutsch won the latest WSOP ring at Event #5 to take home a whopping prize of 58,536 dollars. The player outperformed everyone at the 1,100 dollars No-Limit Hold’em Event to score the win.
Now, the upcoming buy-in 1,700 dollars Main Event guarantee will be produced from the opening flights over the weekend. The Day 2 of the Event will be on Sunday, while the final table will be set on Monday.
The fact that WSOP has doubled the guarantee from its previous Main Event shows the stature of the game. Given the sheer scale of the Event, it is expected to create a massive buzz across the circuit.
