Also known as The Main Event, the competition will run from July 3 to 17. Ty Stewart, the Executive Director and Senior Vice President of WSOP, also talked about the development. Everyone at WSOP expects a massive opening for the event.
The organizers are setting a massive stage with vast promotions to break the record set way back in 2006.
Besides The Main Event, the 2023 tournament also has several other noteworthy events. It starts with the 600 Main Event Seats, 500 of which come from GGPoker’s Main Event. The remaining 100 for the event come from ClubGG’s subscription site.
The Global Qualification for the event will run on May 20 and 21 across five continents. The Guaranteed Seat tournament will partake in a 140-dollar buy-in event. After which, WSOP’s 112-seat sprint will run from June 25 to July 8.
WSOP has also set three special bracelet events on July 9 and June 4, and 25. If they manage to break the record, every entrant will be set in a drawing that rewards a non-transferrable Main Event. Seeing how WSOP is promoting the event, the championship is expected to finally break the 2006 record.
